Another fun day of science in Wrexham town centre!

On Saturday 28th April the old TJ Hughes building will be coming alive again with science, creative construction activity, music and dance together with a selection of small local businesses offering their wares in "pop-up" stalls for the day.

From 11:00 am until 4:30 pm Techniquest Glyndŵr will be opening the doors again to the public to this major building in the town centre situated between Chester Street and Henblas Square. This event coincides with each of the monthly Wrexham Street Festivals that now take place on the last Saturday of the month in the town centre.

Our StarDome will be offering a continuous programme of planetary journeys and our science buskers will be demonstrating various scientific tricks alongside our cardboard construction zone helping to give cardboard waste an imaginative second life with the active involvement of our visitors.

Local company Vorteka will be running a demonstration area showing off their wizardry with virtual reality equipment set up specially for the day.

And, just for fun, we will be having Diddy Car Racing set up for  families to enjoy a crazy time together.

We will be opening the building on a monthly basis every last Saturday of the month up until August whilst the Wrexham Street Festivals bring the town centre back into lively activity with a range of special events and temporary stalls.

In future months we will be running our Planetarium and live science shows , hosting Splat Messy Play sessions, Junk Robot sessions and we have local robot makers Glitterbomb with us in May.

Each month we will be providing space for a selection of small local businesses to present their stalls to promote their wares, such as Little Fudge Box and Crafty Miller
