Corporate sponsorship offers your company a unique relationship with Techniquest Glyndŵr and our work.

Your company could provide a range of valuable contributions to support our mission to enthuse and engage young people and the public with STEM subjects.

These could include

  • Commissioning of a new exhibit to be made available at the centre
  • Providing specialist items of equipment enabling the development and provision of educational  science, technology, engineering or mathematics workshops (STEM)
  • Providing financial support to enable schools in the immediate area your business to take advantage of visits to Techniquest Glyndŵr in Wrexham or an outreach visit to school
  • Contributing to the development of a workshop covering a science or technology topic relevant to the work of your company which can then be offered to schools as part of the educational offer

Abbalu Chocolatier
Aballu is a small, but growing company based near Wrexham that uses ‘on-trend’ ingredients and methods to create exciting high quality chocolates under both our own brand and as an ‘own label’ offer to other businesses.

Abballu helped in the development of a numeracy workshop related to the making of chocolate (Challenge at the Chocolate factory) as part of the Welsh Government funded Employer Engagement Numeracy Project. It also assisted in Teacher CPD sessions and helped to create a short video to illustrate the use of numeracy in their company.

FOCUS Wales
FOCUS Wales is a 4 day annual festival taking place in Wrexham each April, which places the music industry spotlight firmly on the emerging talent that Wales has to offer the world.

Focus Wales helped in the development of a numeracy workshop related to staging of a music festival (TechniFest) – as part of the Welsh Government funded Employer Engagement Numeracy Project. It also assisted in Teacher CPD sessions and helped to create a short video to illustrate the use of numeracy in their company.

Destination Wrexham
Destination Wrexham is a Destination Management Partnership led by Wrexham Borough Council that is working towards creating a brilliant visitor experience throughout Wrexham County Borough.
It is working to a five year Action Plan, which sets out what Wrexham County Borough and partners plan to do to influence the growth of the tourism sector.

Destination Wrexham helped to create a short video to illustrate the use of numeracy in the tourism industry.

Welsh Mountain Zoo
The Welsh Mountain Zoo is a zoological garden located near Colwyn Bay. The zoo was opened on 18 May 1963 by the wildlife enthusiast and naturalist Robert Jackson. The zoo covers an area of 37 acres and is operated by a registered charity National Zoological Society of Wales.

The aims of the charity are to:

  • Own and manage Zoological Gardens providing education and conservation benefits.
  • Have involvement in and/or management of in-situ and ex-situ projects in Wales and abroad.
  • Provide education services
  • Provide training and relevant work experience opportunities.

Welsh Mountain Zoo helped in the development of a numeracy workshop related to the design and planning of a Zoo (Animal Planet) – as part of the Welsh Government funded Employer Engagement Numeracy Project. It also assisted in creating a short video to illustrate the use of numeracy in the work of the zoo.

North Wales Crusaders
Founded in 2011 the North Wales Crusaders are a not for profit rugby league club based in Wrexham and led by a community consortium. The goal to maintain professional Rugby League in North Wales.

North Wales Crusaders helped in the development of a numeracy workshop related to sport and fitness (We are the Champions) – as part of the Welsh Government funded Employer Engagement Numeracy Project. It also assisted in creating a short video to illustrate the use of numeracy in sport.

Wilmott Dixon Energy Services
Wilmott Dixon Energy Services, now rebranded as Fortem is a UK wide company that is a privately-owned contracting and interior fit-out group.

A local operating base of the company in North Wales helped to create a short video to illustrate the use of numeracy in the construction industry and donated equipment that enabled the development of a numeracy workshop related to energy conservation in buildings.
