Astronomy Club

Techniquest Glyndŵr’s Astronomy Club is provided for people of all ages. Each event features the opportunity to travel into space within our portable StarDome Planetarium, an enlightening talk about an aspect of stargazing, children’s activities and of course — weather permitting — a chance for some live stargazing with our telescopes.

The session includes:

> Thinking about how we could explore the planet of Venus with our robot workshop (EV3)

> A talk about the history, discovery and exploration of the para-dicey planet.

> Continuation of the ongoing solar system creative activity.

> Getting hands-on making volcanic eruptions.

> Location of some planets in the night sky using telescopes and binoculars (weather permitting!)
