  1. Want to bring my grandchildren to visit but we can’t make it on Wednesday the 1st. Is that the only day the fun day is on? On a typical day are there enough things to do for a 2, 4 and 5year old to do? Also have much is the entry fee please?

    • Hello – thanks for your question.

Unfortunately our Family Fun Day has been timed to coincide with Wrexham’s Play Day which takes place in the central park area on the same day – 1st August. We will, however, be having another Fun Day on Saturday August 28th from a 11am until 4.30pm which is free entry and will be taking place at our temporary town centre venue on Chester St./Henblas St.

Our centre on the Glyndwr University Campus, however, is open 7 days a week during the school holidays – We are open 10am to 5pm Mondays to Fridays and 11am to 4.30pm on Saturdays . Last entries either at weekends or during the week are at 3.30pm.

We have over 65 interactive science exhibits which are very much “hands-on” and will engage children of a wide age range – obviously, children will engage at the level they are at but our public feedback suggests that families with children with a range of ages do have a good time with us… We have live science shows (currently “Operation Earth” which is about the environment and our seas and air) and those are included in your admission – shows are aimed at children 4 years and upwards (although younger children do find them fun as well) and are on at 1.00pm and 3.30pm with more shows put on if there is demand. You do not need to book, just turn up with your family!

If you use Trip Advisor or Facebook you will see many reviews from our visitors which you may find helpful. Cost of entry is £6.30 for adults (or £7 with Gift Aid) and £5.40 for children ((£6 with Gift Aid). A group ticket for 4 people costs £20 (1 adult 3 children, 2 adults 2 children or 3 adults 1 child).

I hope that answers your queries.
      Simon
