I started at Techniquest Glyndŵr in November 2011 and I love working here, especially the interactions with the kids that come to the Centre. I am particularly interested in the wildlife and conservation side of things. I was appointed a Supervisor in 2017 as well as working as a Science Communicator.
In the past I have spent time out in Honduras, including scuba diving and teaching reef ecology — and I even led a study visit for A-level students from the UK to explore the reefs.
I have recently completed my PGCE qualification as a teacher. In my time I have carried out bird surveys and worked with consultants RPS in the preparations for the Milford Haven Liquid Gas terminal — I like to think that the conservation work and impact monitoring now in place are directly as a result of my work there.
In my spare time I love walking, especially in coastal areas, scuba diving (of course!) and studying wildlife — I am especially interested in poo! It tells so much about the animals around and what they have been eating. Look out for me at the centre and ask me a wildlife question!
