Dark Skies Partnership

Techniquest Glyndŵr is collaborating with Snowdonia National Park, Clwydian Range and Dee Valley Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and The Isle of Anglesey Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty on a dark skies initiative.  We wish to build public support for protecting North Wales' night skies by educating locals of the value of dark skies as a natural resource and a tourism draw.  All the drak skies activities are free of charge (although some are taking place as part of larger events, which have an entry fee).

Upcoming events:

Saturday 22nd June 2019; Trelawnyd Village Show; Drop-in activities for families around dark skies

Wednesday 26th June 2019; Techniquest Glyndwr; Astronomy pre-book workshop for tourism workers

Saturday 20th July 2019;  Coed Moel Famau; Drop-in activities for families around living in space

Sat 3rd - Sat 10th August 2019; National Eisteddfod; Welsh folklore planetarium shows and information about dark skies
