Does your job help inspire a generation?

When it comes to the world of work it’s no often that the opportunity to make a genuine difference that can help inspire hundreds of thousands of people.

Techniquest Glyndwr however are looking to bring in two such people to work within our Inspiring Science Funded roles. We’re on the look out for a Projects Assistant and Community Outreach Coordinator to make a real difference in regards to our new centre in the middle of Wrexham.

In the summer of 2019 we announced that we were moving from Wrexham Glyndwr University’s Plas Coch campus and occupying the former TJ Hughes store in the heart of the town.

These roles will be as part of the projects team with a heavy focus on the ‘Heart of the Community – Calon y Gymuned’ project.

The Projects Assistant will be accurately reporting and recording externally funded projects with a real focus on redefining our purpose as a business and the move into the town centre.

The Community Outreach Coordinator will be assisting with the delivery and reporting of the ‘Heart of the Community’ project whilst also reaching out to under-represented and underserved audiences with STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Maths).  There is an exciting element of co-creation planned for new activities both in the community and within the new centre.

Both roles will have a huge part to play in the future of the business. Techniquest Glyndwr has welcomed over a million visitors and is aiming to increase our reach and those we engage with year on year, inspiring new audiences into the STEM and showcasing opportunities to our younger friends in the community.
