Astronomy Club

Techniquest Glyndŵr’s Astronomy Club is provided for people of all ages. Each event features the opportunity to travel into space within our portable StarDome Planetarium, an enlightening talk about an aspect of stargazing, children’s activities and of course — weather permitting — a chance for some live stargazing with our telescopes.

Times: 6.30-8.30pm

> Exploring  where Comets, Asteroids and Meteors come from in an interactive Dome show

> A  talk about Meteor Showers, where to see them and where they come from.

> Continuation of the ongoing solar system creative activity and making Meteor Mobiles to take home!

> Seeing the effects of a meteorite landing with hands-on activities.

> Locating the Gemini Constellation and taking a closer look with our telescopes (weather permitting)
